Besides owning Yellow Cab, he was also the head of the VFW in Racine. Also, since I was the first grandchild, I was responsible for his nickname in the family, as I apparently said DoDo (DoeDoe) to him when I was able to talk, and MiMi to my GrandMother, which stuck with both of them until they passed. He also gave my Dad his first job when he got back from the Korean war, at the cab company. He was just a great family Patriarch and started a huge extended family, which is still quite close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vindustries.com\/racinehistory\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/61574929_128970380341.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4051\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vindustries.com\/racinehistory\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/61574929_128970380341.jpg 640w, http:\/\/www.vindustries.com\/racinehistory\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/61574929_128970380341-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>
Wiley T.
