I often get confused when studying the family that founded and runs S. C. Johnson & Son, one of the main employers in Racine, so I’m going to lay out the generations of the family here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Herbert Fisk Johnson<\/strong> (May 27, 1868 \u2013 February 14, 1928) was an American businessman. He was the son of company founder Samuel Curtis Johnson Sr.<\/a> He was the second generation<\/a> of his family to lead S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc<\/a>., of Racine<\/a>, Wisconsin, United States.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

“Herbert F. Johnson<\/em>, Sr<\/em>. was the ultimate salesman \u2013 and just what the company needed in its second generation.” <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

H. F. Johnson Jr. was married to Gertrude Brauner Johnson, and his children were Karen Johnson Boyd<\/a> (1924 – 2016) and Samuel Curtis Johnson Jr. (1928 – 2004). H. F. Johnson Jr. built Wingspread<\/a> while he was married to Gertrude Brauner Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
