I know we all have our favorite pizza restaurants in Racine, and mine is Derango’s in west Racine. It was a treat and a special occasion when we went there for pizza. I got to go to Derango’s in summer of 2023, and it brought back a lot of memories. Going to DeRango’s in West Racine was a big treat for my family. I can still remember where everything is — the booths, the counter, the pizza ovens. My brother and I used to sit at the counter watching the guys making pizza, putting them in boxes, and putting them on top of the pizza ovens to keep them warm for to-go orders. When our pizza was done and the waitress brought it to our table, we would switch back to our booth and enjoy that amazing pizza and the pitchers of soda.Edit: It’s bizarre, but every time I look at these pizza photos, I can smell Derango’s pizza!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
