(Red) Schliesmann, 44, 1332 Buchanan street, northside tavern operator and former butcher died in St. Mary\u2019s hospital early this morning following an illness of five months.\n\nMr. Schliesmann was a tavern-keeper for the last five years, but previously had been a butcher for 22 years, operating his own market for a time. He lived in Racine all his life.\n\nWorld War Veteran.\n\nAffiliations included St. Joseph\u2019s Catholic church and the Racine Tavernkeepers\u2019 association. During the World war Mr. Schliesmann served in the quartermasters\u2019 corps in the U. S. army at Johnstown, Fla.\n\nSurvivors are his wife, Anna; one son, Robert; a sister, Gertrude B.
