F. Schliesmann Dies, Aged 44 Tavern Operator Was in Hospital For Several Weeks Frank J. (Red) Schliesmann, 44, 1332 Buchanan street, northside tavern operator and former butcher died in St. Mary’s hospital early this morning following an illness of five months. Mr. Schliesmann was a tavern-keeper for the last five years, but previously had been a butcher for 22 years, operating his own market for a time. He lived in Racine all his life. World War Veteran. Affiliations included St. Joseph’s Catholic church and the Racine Tavernkeepers’ association. During the World war Mr. Schliesmann served in the quartermasters’ corps in the U. S. army at Johnstown, Fla. Survivors are his wife, Anna; one son, Robert; a sister, Gertrude B. Hone, and four brothers, John, George, Theodore and Joseph, all of Racine. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
