Water Tower 1887-1931

Postcard from Thom Petersen
Dennis Tully: I found this interesting post card that contained an online caption of: Cyanotype Postcard – Racine, Wis. ca. 1910. I typed out the message on the card in hopes that it would add some information about the photo. “This is our summer house & in the distance you can see a faint out-line of the water tower. Rec’d the blankets O.K. last Sat., tell the folks I thank them very much for sending them. As for that both you can have it for a present. I think we told mother she could use it when we were back home. Did she receive the money order for $2.00 I sent for insurance.” – There was a water tower on 10th St. at the time and also I think there is a bridge in the background at right. Near Root River?
