Johnson Wax Family

I often get confused when studying the family that founded and runs S. C. Johnson & Son, one of the main employers in Racine, so I’m going to lay out the generations of the family here.

Herbert Fisk Johnson Jr. (November 15, 1899 – December 13, 1978), was an American businessman and manufacturer. He was the grandson of company founder Samuel Curtis Johnson. He was the third generation of his family to lead S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc of Racine, Wisconsin.

H. F. Johnson Jr. was married to Gertrude Brauner Johnson, and his children were Karen Johnson Boyd (1924 – 2016) and Samuel Curtis Johnson Jr. (1928 – 2004). H. F. Johnson Jr. built Wingspread while he was married to Gertrude Brauner Johnson.
