This guide to Racine was published by the Racine Association of Commerce, and I can’t find a publishing date anywhere on the pamphlet. However, the “new” administration building at Johnson Wax was built in 1939, so this guide to the attractions of Racine was probably written in the early 1940s.
Business was certainly booming at the time, with many busy factories, and 956 retail stores. Seven public libraries, 21 elementary schools, 80 churches!
