14th Street used to be a busy retail and residential street prior to many properties being cleared for “green space.” Here is the 1952 Racine City Directory listing for who was living and running businesses on 14th Street at the time. To me, there are an amazing number of gas stations and groceries in a small, concentrated number of blocks.
