Hotel Mohr, 1029 State Street

New West Side Hotel. Today C. J. Mohr vacated his old quarters, that he has occupied for these many years, and moved into the adjoining new brick block that he has recently erected. The new building is the finest on State street, and is a substantial ornament to the west side. It is a three story and basement, fitted up with all the modern improvements. "Hotel Mohr" will be dedicated tonight with a grand opening, and the proprietors promise a feast fit for a king to all their old neighbors and west side friends.

The Bismarck had become the Hotel Thomas, under the ownership of Charlie Arndt and things quieted down after a half century of excitement. In 1948 ... Stanley and Adelaide Ralus purchased the Hotel Thomas from the late Charlie Arndt and immediately began an extensive remodeling program. TODAY ...
